Melissa has been a Real Estate Agent since 2007. Her career began at Coldwell Banker United and she hit the ground running making "Rookie of the Year". She left the corporate working world of Merrill Lynch and Vinson & Elkins Law Firm to begin her dream job. To this day she still says "it was the best decision I have ever made". She understands that the home is your biggest asset and loves helping her clients find their dream home. Melissa was born in Houston and raised in Bellaire Texas. She is very knowledgeable of the Houston market and surrounding areas. She decided to leave the big city and make her way to the Pearland/Friendswood area in the year 2000 to raise her family and she has not looked back. She is part of the RISE Mentoring Program which helps students rise above obstacles and succeed in school and life. She enjoys antiquing, decorating, art class, jewelry making and bible study. She is married to her husband Brian of 23 years and has a High School Junior and a Sophomore at Texas State University. Welcome to my About Me :) I'm a Houston/Alvin native. Born and raised here with the exception of living in Clearwater, Florida for a few years when I was younger. I graduated from Manvel High School in 2010 then spent a few years at ACC trying to decide what I wanted to do. Started with some basics, tossed around the idea of getting a degree in Business but ended up leaving a certified Pharmacy Technician. I had my daughter not long after and decided to stay home with her! After a few years at home and marrying my junior high sweetheart, I started working as a receptionist for an industrial company in Pasadena until I had our second child. I knew after having our son, I was NOT going back to an 8-5 Monday through Friday job. I knew I wanted to stay ever-present for my family, so I needed something very flexible. My mom had her real estate license at the time and that's when the spark ignited! My whole family helped make it a possibility! The rest is history ;p I want to leave off with a few FAQ/Answers so when you call me to help you buy your home or list it, we can get straight to business!! How long have I been in Real Estate? - Since October 12th 2017, I have been helping families and individuals achieve one of the greatest goals in life, homeownership! Do I work with buyers or sellers? - Both! I have plenty resources for both buyers and sellers to ensure the process is smooth. Do I have referrals from past clients? - Absolutely :) you can find referrals & reviews on all social media, Google, HAR, Zillow etc! How much do I charge? - For buyers, 0. For sellers, it's an agreed upon % of the sales price. How do I get paid? - I get paid at the closing table from the sellers.
